This was in collaboration with choreographer, director, designer, and dancer Vanessa Voskuil.  The Silents, taking its "impetus from Rainer Maria Rilke’s seminal work, Book of Hours...explores the pursuit of life, the persistence of death and the complexities of the inner human experience of wants, desires, punishments, questions, realizations and fears." 

 

I had originally written a number short choral vignettes  this production, but they didn't quite fit the mold.  Much of the music was performed live using baby monitors and voice, but here is an example of a record ambient piece that was used throughout the production.
